(frustratingly…. I cropped the painting… the painting isnt straight cut square… its quit jagged… I was intending to trim the edges at the time, but then realized I want to keep it rugged… need to take another photo of it…)
it was a series of 5 I did on underground japanese artists… each painting featured a character, often in multipul, of another artist… whom I choose to represent a specific genres of pop/underground japanese art… I was pretty loose with the idea, wanting to find and work w images I felt were captivating…
this one features work by suehiro maruo… his character midori (Shoujo Tsubaki)…
